Walker-Jones Report

At the short story writing workshop at Walker-Jones K-8, students wrote, performed, and recorded a wide variety of exciting fiction using a collection of 16 pre-recorded sound effects. The students wrote and recorded horror, adventure, and mystery tales utilizing a diverse mix of characters including Spongebob Squarepants and President Bush. From haunted refrigerators to the use of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" that put police authorities into a trance, students imaginatively weaved the provided sound effects into their writing to create bizarre, fantastical, and totally original stories.

Here is the sample story put together by CLWC volunteer extraordinaires Lyle and Becky.
