In-Class Workshop at Walker-Jones

Monday, May 19, 01:25 PM - 03:15 PM @ Walker-Jones K-8 School

One of our volunteers, Lyle Nesse, will be partnering with English teacher Flora Lerenman to conduct a short story writing workshop at Walker-Jones K-8 School on Monday, May 19th. The workshop will be for an 8th grade English class of 20 students.

In this new workshop, students will divide into groups to write and perform short stories aloud using sound effects from an audio sampler. Their short stories will be recorded onto a laptop computer and compiled onto an audio CD featuring the students' work.

Click here for our post-workshop write-up and product audio file (MP3) for download.
